Located in the lush Matheran hills, Dune Barr House is a 170-year-old British mansion built by Captain Barr in the 19th century and is Asia’s only pedestrian hill resort. We offer 11 unique rooms, each furnished in a grand heritage style with modern comforts. The rooms are named after famous British families, the Parsis, and the Bohras. You will enjoy a blend of heritage furniture with modern bathrooms and amenities. Our restaurant, The Verandah In The Forest, serves Indian and European fusion cuisine, including Parsi and Bohra specialties. Room service and private dinners are available upon request. We are committed to the environment. Our hotel has no air conditioning, no TV, and no minibar. We use solar hot water systems, LED lighting, and organic linen and bathroom amenities.
